Bill and Ted's lyrics create a utopian future, so a tyrant sends evil robot versions of the simple-minded heroes back in time to kill them. Bill and Ted end up in the afterlife, and must outsmart the Grim Reaper in order to return to the land of the living to stop their evil counterparts and save their girlfriends.
